MSOIL Synthetic Lithium Complex Heavy-Duty Grease (GHD) is formulated specifically to protect low-speed/high-load components such as steering knuckles, front axle shafts and other heavy-duty components in transportation, logging, farming, mining or construction applications.

GHD is also ideal for use in plants, such as steel mills, in which equipment frequently carries extreme loads over prolonged periods or is subject to shock loads.

GHD protects components from metal-to-metal contact in conditions of extreme-load and low-speed. Synthetic base oils and lithium complex thickeners provide the film strength, shear resistance and mechanical stability critical to high-load protection whicle highly effective extreme-pressure additives form a shield of protection against extreme loads. GHD is fortified with molybdenum, which armors components and takes the brunt of excessive loads so lubricated surfaces don't.

GHD is a highly effective friction reducer, helping components run in their optimal temperature range and increasing efficiency by reducing power consumption. Its outstanding thermal and oxidative stability allow the grease to maintain its protective consistency and deposit-resistance in high temperatures, optimizing component performance and service life.

AMSOIL Product Code GHB is the same great synthetic base oil, lithium complex thickener, extreme pressure agents and oxidation- and rust-inhibitor additive systems found in all AMSOIL synthetic lithium-complex greases. GHB is also Moly-Fortified. The difference is less thickener which gives them lower consistency grades for greater pumpability and cold temperature mobility. Soft greases such as these are preferred for gearbox applications (where recommended by equipment manufacturer) and for automated pumping equipment. Soft greases also have good low temperature torque values, which make them excellent for cold temperature applications.

APPLICATION MAINTENANCE

Maintaining a clean work environment is important when equipment greasing is performed. Wipe grease fittings clean prior to injecting grease to prevent contaminant ingestion. Maintain bearing housings one-third to one-half full of grease. Do not over-grease as excessive heat buildup can result. Supplement standard grease maintenance by periodically cleaning and packing housings with fresh grease on an established maintenance schedule.
